SUMMARY
Aspen is a lovely dog, who has come a long way in our care, she is very affectionate, so happy to see anyone walk past her kennel, or better still, pay her some attention. She can however be a little anxious of other dogs and is very worried about traffic and noise. She needs an adult only home, experienced, relaxed and patient, living in a more rural setting. She will be better as an only dog. She also needs an active home who will take her out on lots of adventures, looking for a fun, super intelligent and loving dog.

ASPEN IN DETAILS
From Romania, we have our darling Aspen. Aspen, like many rescue dogs, is a very sensitive girl. She came to the UK as a puppy via a different rescue and has been in a home for 4 years but unfortunately she was too anxious around the children and the family decided it was best for her to find an adult only home so she came to us. She loves her interactions with her human friends though and although she may be a little submissive with new people, she soon makes friends. Aspen is such a sweet dog who enjoys her high levels of exercise and training as much as she enjoys a cuddle with her people. She will make a family extremely happy, they will receive as much energy, patience, and affection back from her as what they put into her. Unfortunately for Aspen she is anxious of quite a few dogs, she is somewhat unsure of herself and because of this, she has a select number of doggy friends that she likes but is not always keen to go out of her comfort zone. We do our best to accommodate Aspen’s needs to live as stress-free as possible here at the kennels, but as we are in a busy area, it can prove difficult not to expose her to things she finds stressful. Aspen would love to live in a more rural or quiet environment with lots of open space, walks and adventures. A city/urban setting would not be appropriate for her. She has no problem with car travel, which makes her life easier as we can take her to quiet places for her to have a good sniff around! Aspen needs a family with an active lifestyle, who have a good amount of time to spend with her, to keep her both physically and mentally stimulated- she is a clever cookie!
IDEAL HOME
Aspen needs to be placed in an adult only home as an only dog. She would be ideal for anyone who lives in a more rual location and who like to do a lot with their dogs such as long country walks, running, trecking etc.. Anything where she can spend time with her people, be outdoor but not have to face traffic or too many dogs who she feels intimidated by. We know she will appeal to the collie and shepherd lovers and the rescuers at heart who take it upon themsevesto make the life of a dog a better one, and give them oportunities to blossom, that they would not otherwise get.

Note:
All our dogs go on home trial for two weeks before an adoption. We offer post adoption support and access to a behaviourist and trainer for the life of our dogs.
