Moflea is our social media superstar! He has a captivating look that is so adorable, he captures the hearts of our Facebook and Instagram audience every time. Once Moflea has a firm friendship with someone, he is truly your best friend. he is one of our most affectionate dogs but it does take some work to get Moflea to be your friend. Our Moflea has had a tragic start to life though, kept in a small cage since a pup in a shelter in Romania, he struggled with being in a continuous state of stress and anxiety. Eventhough his start to life was difficult, he is a kind-hearted and vulnerable little boy who puts his all into the sacred relationships that he forms. Moflea is such a playful soul too - he loves all his teddies, and you can usually find him cuddled up with his giant caterpillar! When not playing with his many toys, he enjoys a long cuddle with his favourite humans. As the cuddles go on, his eyes slowly start to shut as he enters his own little paradise. We have watched Moflea’s eyes grow softer and more loving with each interaction with his people. It is now time to watch Moflea’s relationship blossom with his new family. Moflea will grow with you, and he will be your most valued and trustworthy friend.

Moflea has severe trust issues when meeting new people and he also has a long memory, he does not forget negative experiences! It is very important than Moflea’s family understand that he will need several visits to build a bond, and that a life with Moflea will mean making big adjustments to accommodate him and his sensitivities to new people. We would not recommend that he is rehomed with any owner who have a very active social life, it would simply not be feasible for Moflea. On the dog side, our boy prefers to make friends with female dogs, but he does have a few male friends too! He prefers dogs that are not too challenging as they
make him feel insecure. Moflea's cage in the Romanian shelter was lliterally the size of a chicken coop placed in a very busy passage and he was continously subjected to dogs coming on to his cage and barking at him, which has left him a little weary of some, but thankfully not all :) On the lead Moflea is very well behaved and will spend his time with his nose in the ground or in the bushes having a good sniff– it is important that to make him feel safe and secure on walks that you give him a lot of space when walking past unknown people and dogs.

He loves a car journey to new areas and exciting new walks. Any time spent with his family he will see as the most precious time in the world, and to be honest so will you! Moflea is noise sensitive so although he loves being in the car, he is not a fan of loud vehicles and machinery going past him as it can frighten him. A quieter location with a lot of outdoor walking space and green areas would benefit him most, no city centres please.

IDEAL HOME
Moflea’s ideal home will be in a rural or semi-rural area as an only dog in the home. No children, no cats, and no small furries please! Moflea is looking for a family with very few visitors, that are full of patience and love; when Moflea has a strong bond with someone he is an almost perfect dog. The development of that bond will take time, energy, resilience, and determination – all our team members have had to go through the journey with Moflea, and they will all testify how rewarding and heart-warming it is to watch Moflea’s trust in you grow each day.

Note:
All our dogs go on home trial for two weeks before an adoption. We offer post adoption support and access to a behaviourist and trainer for the life of our dogs.
