Balto is one of our most stunning dogs! He’s like a big teddy bear who, sadly, has not had much luck in his life. He’s spent 3 years in a Romanian shelter before coming to us. Balto has had a nice family for a time, but was returned to us as he became quite unsettled by the cats in the area! Batlo is fine with small furries and also has become a lot better with most dogs, but the cats have been a bit of an issue for him, something which we are working on and he is learning to listen to his handlers and leave them. It's of course ok if there are the odd ones about, but will struggle with cats taunting him on his garden fence! Hence a more rural placement would suit perfectly.
Balto is a very loveable dog with a fantastic personality and it saddens us that he is still needing to find his forever home. He does so well with the team here we really feel that in the right environment and the right calm energy and experience around him, he will do great.

In terms of environment, a quiet, peaceful, rural setting would be fantastic for Balto! He loves adventures, and absolutely adores car rides! If you want to take your pup on car trips, Balto is your man. He loves the car so much, he might even get into someone else’s (so be careful)! We genuinely want the best for all of our dogs, going above and beyond to ensure their success. We’re always glad to offer our families additional support and training advice for the lifetime of our dogs. Balto is a real character with a lot of love yet to give, just waiting for his chance!
If you are ready to love a super special dog and have the right experience and environment, think about sharing your home with our Teddy bear, you would make an old dog very happy.
Note: All our dogs go on home trial for two weeks before adoption. We offer post-adoption support and access to a behaviourist and trainer for the life of our dogs.
